The QA Register is the United Kingdom Register of Quality Assessed Companies. It lists quality awards made by certification bodies that have in turn been accredited by UKAS (the United Kingdom Accreditation Service). There are currently over 100 UKAS accredited bodies (see the list of Certification Bodies below). The Register currently includes over 110,000 entries for companies with UKAS accredited certifications for sites in the UK and throughout the world. For each entry on the Register we show the name and address of the company concerned (as advised to us by our certification body contributors), the standard they have achieved, the certificate number, the name of the awarding body and the complete wording of the scope of certification. Wherever possible we also provide contact information such as telephone, fax, email and website details. Data on the Register is fully searchable by means of company name, geographical area, standard and/ or awarding certification body. The Register can also be searched by keyword according to the name and/ or address of the company. Keyword searches can also be used to identify companies providing products or services to the quality standards listed in the Register. |

A - B | C - G | H - L | M - S | T - Z ISO 9000 is the offspring of the International Organisation for Standardisation. Based in Geneva, Switzerland, ISO is a consortium of virtually all of the world's industrialised nations – from Albania to Zimbabwe. The group's mission is to develop industrial standards that facilitate international trade. ISO 9000 is a quality system standard. It applies not to products and services, but to the process which creates them. It is designed and intended to apply to virtually any product or service made by any process anywhere in the world. It emphasises principles, goals and objectives. All of these focus upon one main aim – the same aim which drives every business – meeting customer requirements and expectations. A well designed, well implemented, and carefully managed ISO 9000 quality system provides confidence that the output of the process will meet customer requirements and expectations, and it does this by requiring that every business activity is conducted in a three-part, never-ending cycle: planning, control and documentation. ISO 9000 is good, strong business common sense. Further information on standards can be found on the Institute of Quality Assurance website - http://www.iqa.org
Standards, included in the QA Register The QA Register aims to list all organisations with accredited management system certification awarded by bodies accredited by UKAS The QA Register lists accredited certifications to the following standards (or combinations thereof): BS EN ISO 9001:2000 (Quality management system certification) BS EN ISO 14001:2004 (Environmental management system certification) BS 7799:Part 2:2005 (ISO 27001:2005) (Information security management system certification) BS EN ISO 13485:2003 (Quality management system certification in the field of medical devices) QS 9000:1998 (Quality management system certification in automotive field - valid only to 15 December 2006) BS 15000-1 (ISO/IEC 20000-1) (IT service management system certification) Note: Where a certification body is accredited by UKAS to certify specific additional management system sector schemes, these may be listed in the QA Register in combination with the appropriate standard above (for example: BS EN ISO 9001:2000 + TickIT). Only those schemes that are specifically mentioned in the scope of accreditation of the particular certification body may be listed as additions to the standards as this means that UKAS has specifically assessed the certification body as competent to issue combined certificates in these fields. Certificates may not be issued for a sector scheme on its own. |
